Meet the Crystal Mountain Ambassadors

Chelsea Strong

After moving to Seattle in 2018, Chelsea quickly made Crystal Mountain her home mountain, drawn in by the unmatched in-bounds terrain and the feeling that there’s always more to explore. While becoming a Crystal rider, Chelsea noticed a frequent conversation on chairlift rides: women wishing they had more gal-pals to ski and snowboard with.

Determined to change that, Chelsea teamed up with the Shred-It Sisters and, with support from SheJumps, began hosting monthly meetups at Crystal. What started as a small group has grown into one of the strongest communities on the mountain, now entering its fifth season and bringing together dozens, sometimes over a hundred, riders.

Today, Chelsea’s focus as an ambassador is creating a more welcoming, connected, and supportive mountain experience. Proudly supported by Crystal Mountain and Pallas Snowboards, she continues to help make Crystal the place to find your people.

Chelsea is also supported by partnerships with Powder Poobah PNW Snow Forecast and the Women’s Outdoor Connection. Chelsea is currently a co-leader of the Shred-It Sisters, a 3,000+ member group local to Western Washington, and a volunteer event coordinator for our umbrella organization, SheJumps, a nationwide nonprofit with a mission to get more women and girls outdoors.
