Solar Panels for The Royal Haciendas, Grand Residences and The Royal Sands
We are excited to share with you that we are installing solar panels at The Royal Sands, The Royal Haciendas and Grand Residences by Royal Resorts as part of our commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. This initiative will help us reduce electricity costs while making our resorts more environmentally friendly.
At The Royal Sands, 180 solar thermal panels have been operating since 2010, heating 50 percent of the water for the 340 villas. A further 490 photovoltaic panels will be installed on the rooftop to generate electricity (325 kw), bringing the resort additional savings.
The Royal Haciendas will have 492 and Grand Residences 296 photovoltaic solar panels, respectively.
Installation will take place during March and will be completed in May. During this period, members and guests staying at the resorts will notice workers on the roof and equipment being moved along walkways at times. All necessary measures are being taken to minimize any inconvenience to our guests.
By expanding the solar power project, Royal Resorts is reducing its environmental footprint and taking an important step towards a greener future.
