June At Crystal Mountain – Crystal Mountain
Top Things To Do
Ah, June. The start of summer and a true testament to changing seasons, shifting operations, and classic unpredictable weather in the Pacific Northwest. As the winter stoke starts to mellow (just a little), we’re flipping the page and leaning into the summer serenity.
Some of our trails are still working through the last bits of snowmelt, and we’ll share updates on those in the Mountain Report. But for now, we’ve got a few things lined up this June that are perfect for anyone looking to escape the city heat and soak up some mountain magic.
Events
While we roll through June, don’t forget to keep an eye on our events schedule this summer. From July 4–6, we’re introducing Ruff Weekend—a weekend all about you and your adventure pup! The weekend will include alpine yoga sessions, free portraits of you and your pup, outdoor training sessions with professional trainers, and free dog-friendly guided hikes. Camping in B-Lot is a must, and campsites are now available for reservations! Check out the full schedule here.
Activities
The Mt. Rainier Scenic Gondola: Spinning every Friday–Sunday until June 27th, when we switch over to daily operations! This is the perfect breath of fresh air—there’s truly nothing like stepping out of the gondola in the summer and having a clear view of Mt. Rainier. And yes—dogs are allowed!
Fun fact: Mt. Rainier is only 11 air miles away from the summit!
The Flying Raven Adventure Course: We’re now in our third summer with our ropes course! Located in the tree line, you’ll start with ground school, learn the fundamentals, and progress through different levels—from green circle to black diamond. Personally, I found myself there three times a week. And yes, ground school every time. Safety first!
Ikon Passholders: Enjoy 50% off all summer long!
The Climbing Wall: A great stop for folks heading to or from the ropes course. Located at the base of Chinook, it’s a quick thrill and a fun vertical challenge to round out your day on the mountain.
The Mining Sluice: A hands-on, fascinating stop for all ages. Great for families, curious minds, or anyone looking to take home a little treasure.
That’s the roundup for now. June’s just getting started, and we’re stoked to welcome you back to the mountains this summer. Keep an eye out for trail updates, more events, and fresh alpine moments heading your way soon. Don’t forget, our Mountain Report is your go-to source for all the latest information on operations and events!
