August Events at Crystal Mountain
The Mountain Is Alive with Energy, Wildlife, and Activities.
It’s hard to believe we’re already entering August. This summer has offered a perfect escape from the bustling chaos of the city. As I write this, the hills are dotted with wildflowers, and wild strawberries have made their appearance, offering a sweet snack and a pick-me-up during hikes. Pro tip: fuel up before hiking anywhere on the mountain! Or bring a snack with you. Luckily, on the last day we had a helicopter on the mountain (7/17), there were strawberries at the top of Exterminator to help power through. Though we have a living blog about Rainier Express updates, here are some shots from the last fly day. Concrete is in, now we’re waiting for steel!
