Travel insurtech startup BeSafe Group closes €3M round

BeSafeGroup, a travel-insurtech
company based in Rome, has raised €3 million in Series A funding.

The round is led by
PranaVentures and Azimut Digitech Fund, with participation from CDP Venture
Capital SGR and angel investors.

Founded in 2018, BeSafe said
it has insured more than 250,000 travelers and has a network of more than 1,600
customers, including hotels, tour operators and travel agencies, as well as more
than 50 technology partners and insurance companies.

The company said it will use
the funding to further develop its claims management platform and customized
insurance solutions and to strengthen its sales team to accelerate expansion in
Europe and worldwide.

“We are competing in an industry where
brokers like BeSafe dictate the market and insurance companies play a secondary game due
to the difficulty of bridging the technological gap,” says Alessandro
Bartolucci, CEO of BeSafe.

“Our goal is to gain market leadership by leveraging technological innovation and a strong
focus on customer experience and customer service excellence.”
