The Social Hub Glasgow combines a 494-key hotel, complete with student and extended-stay rooms, with extensive co-working space, event space and social venues.

Learn, stay, work and play

The result of a £90 million development, The Social Hub Glasgow is the 18th hub to open for the Amsterdam-based, 2012-launched company as it joins a collection of properties in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Florence, Madrid, Vienna and San Sebastián.

The new property is located in Glasgow’s Merchant City District. Guests are invited to learn, stay, work and play in space encompassing co-working areas, 20 private offices, meeting and event space including an auditorium, a gym, restaurant and bar.

The property will also host a series of curated purpose-driven events and workshops in line with the company’s belief that ‘a better society is created when people with vision and talent come together from all walks of life’.

Local partners

A characteristic of The Social Hub is its local partnerships. The Social Hub Glasgow is launching with a number of local partners including the award-winning Scottish sustainable fashion designer, Siobhan Mackenzie, who has created a unique tartan for the property.

Based on The Social Hub’s values on sustainability and social impact, local suppliers to the property then include the ethically sourced and eco-friendly Sea Change Wine also helping to fund global conservation projects, and the local B Corp coffee business, Dear Green.

The property will also source coffee from the small UK Paddy and Scott’s brand sharing its profits with communities that grow their coffee, with beers, spirits and canned organic wines coming from Brewgooder, Arbikie and Vinca Wine.
