StoneCircle brings Scandinavian design to Studio Franzén

[ad_1]

Manufacturer StoneCircle has revealed the Scandinavian designs it brought to Studio Franzén, the latest restaurant in the chain run by Björn Frantzén. Currently finding home in Harrods, the design concept is one which can be extended to hotel interiors.

Seeking to build upon the site’s existing decor – courtesy of Joyn Studios – the company has created a luxurious re-interpretation of Scandinavian design. The square lattice work on marquetry that is used on the furniture is echoed along the venue’s floors, while a geometric grid of terrazzo has been inlaid with Verde Antigua marble in some areas and Rosso Barocco marble in others.

Additionally, StoneCircle has cut 15,000 squares out of the terrazzo and replaced them with 15,000 marble inserts, all before grinding the surface to a honed finish in preparation for them to be installed by the contractor, Jayasom.
