Raffles Hotels & Resorts has shared new insight into the highly-anticipated Raffles Boston, which will begin welcoming guests in September 2023. The opening will mark Raffles’ debut into North America, with the $400 million, LEED Gold building coming in at 35-storeys tall.

The new hotel will comprise 147 guestrooms, including 21 Signature Suites, eight Premier Suites and a presidential Raffles Suite. Responsible for the design of rooms and the majority of hotel amenity spaces is Stonehill Taylor.

The studio has taken inspiration from the city’s Emerald Necklace, as well as the hotel’s historic cultural surroundings, choosing materials and patterns that draw on Boston’s history and architecture. Copper accents are prevalent throughout the property – a nod to Paul Revere’s copper plating company – accompanied by historical illustrations and whimsical lighting inspired by florals.

Raffles Boston Bar and Lounge

In a first for the city of Boston, Raffles Boston features a Sky Lobby on the 17th, 18th and 19th floors, a space which connects guests to a range of amenities. Here, a striking grand staircase spirals through the atrium, with curved oak stairs and copper balusters making a strong architectural impression.

Throughout the Sky Lobby are four F&B venues, including the hotel’s signature Portuguese restaurant, a space of moody lighting and metal finishes. At Long Bar & Terrace, guests will find cocktails served with a view, while the Signature Sky Bar will offer drinks and small bites. For a more intimate space, guests will be able to visit Speakeasy, or head to Writers’ Lounge on the 17th floor – a signature feature of Raffles hotels across the globe.

For those seeking a touch of relaxation, the hotel will offer an array of amenities on the fourth floor, including a gym, Raffles Spa and 20-metre indoor pool with city views.

The Boston opening will add to Accor‘s existing portfolio of 18 Raffles hotels across the globe, with more set for London and Macau later this year.
