The newbuild five star Waldorf Astoria San Miguel de Allende will be managed by Hilton when it is expected to open in early 2025.

Artisan amenities

The hotel will offer 120 guestrooms and suites, and 24 Waldorf Astoria branded residences, providing owners with access to all hotel amenities and signature resident services.

Wellness-inspired amenities will include a fitness centre with yoga and meditation areas, a destination-inspired spa, and a rooftop space with pools and relaxation areas offering city views.

An on-site art gallery and local artisan crafts store will also welcome guests, while family travellers will have access to the hotel’s kids and teens club. The hotel’s culinary offering will comprise three restaurants, two bars and a coffee shop.

Regional boost

The signing of this management agreement bolsters the group’s luxury portfolio in the region and marks the Waldorf Astoria brand’s second residential property in Mexico.

Hilton’s luxury growth in Mexico forms part of the company’s broader expansion plans in the country, where guests are currently welcomed at approximately 90 hotels and resorts across 12 Hilton brands, and approximately 25 additional properties make up the development pipeline. These include the 114-key Hilton Garden Inn Toluca Tollocan, due to complete in Q4 2024; Motto Mexico City Condesa-Roma, delivering 90 rooms in 2024; and EOS Tulum, Curio Collection by Hilton, featuring 250 rooms and branded residences, and scheduled to open in Q1 2024.
