Red Jacket Resorts embarks on collection-wide renovations in Cape Cod

The first phase of the brand’s renovation plans will see three oceanfront hotels in South Yarmouth, Cape Cod, undergo a reinvention ahead of the region’s 2024 summer season.

Reimagination of a portfolio

Three of the brand’s five Mid Cape Properties—Red Jacket Beach Resort, Riviera Beach Resort and Blue Water Resort—will benefit from a collective $40m makeover.

This renovation project will result in 397 newly designed rooms, suites and cottages, along with seven redesigned restaurants and bars, refreshed lobbies and meeting rooms, and updated pool and beachfront amenities.

This multiphase renovation is under the stewardship of EOS Hospitality who acquired Red Jacket Resorts in 2021.

“Since acquiring Red Jacket Resorts nearly three years ago, we continue to see so much interest in Cape Cape with new direct flights, extended seasons and new inventory across the region,” said Nicholas Farina, Vice President of Operations at EOS Hospitality.

“As we look to the 2024 season, we are seeing more demand than ever which is why we are readily investing $40 million into this renovation.”

Newly renovated stays

Red Jacket Resorts has been hosting guests in its Cape Cod hotels since the 1960s. The collection now encompasses five hotels, including their restaurant and bar offering, and events services. Following their reinvention, these properties will launch summer-centric spaces and amenities. Catering to multi-generational travellers, the hotels will benefit from a number of new guest rooms designed for families as well as couples and solo stays.

Red Jacket Beach Resort will see a full refresh of its 163 rooms and the addition of new family-friendly suites. All 125 rooms will undergo a renovation at Riviera Beach Resort, with guests now able to book its Family Suite accommodating up to eight people. At Blue Water Resort, guests can expect a redesign of its 109 rooms, including dog-friendly accommodation, along with a brand-new restaurant concept.

“When developing the plans for the reinvention, we conducted extensive research on what families are seeking in their travel accommodations, while also listening to our guests who visit us year after year and believe the product we’ve created is something generations to come will enjoy,” said Nicholas Farina, Vice President of Operations at EOS Hospitality.

“We are ushering in the newest chapter for Red Jacket Resorts and can’t wait to welcome our long-time guests as well as travellers seeking to enjoy a modern Cape Cod experience,” added Hollie Handrahan, Red Jacket Beach Resort General Manager.
