Le Méridien Bangkok introduces circular beds

As wellbeing becomes more of a priority for travellers worldwide, Le Méridien Bangkok has unveiled a series of Executive Round Rooms, characterised by the distinctive addition of circular beds. With a broader focus on enhancing guests’ wellness during their stays, the hotel emphasises the health benefits of its new beds.

The latest addition to Le Méridien Bangkok’s guestroom categories seeks to aid guests’ sleep experience, with circular beds proven to improve sleep quality, ease stress and reduce tension. According to psychologists, a round bed shape allows the sleeper to feel more in command of their surroundings, while the size of such beds offers greater freedom of movement and facilitates a more comfortable and less restless sleep.

The new concept, coming to life on the 22nd floor of the art-inspired property, is accompanied by the incorporation of floor-to-ceiling windows, which provide guests with a 360-degree view of the Thai capital.

The Executive Round Rooms form part of the hotel’s recent refurbishment, which sees the addition of a new private onsen, a spa with seven treatment rooms, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre.

“The circle has always been a symbol of wellness,” explains General Manager Dieter Ruckenbauer. “In the principles of feng shui, it represents continuity, harmony and balance. For modern travellers, a round bed is not only a quirky design feature and a talking point; it can ensure a deeper sleep and a greater feeling of wellbeing. We look forward to helping our guests create their own personal sanctuary of peace and harmony in the heart of this pulsating metropolis.
