Jackson Hole’s Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa Promotes Award-Winning Chef Troy Batten to Area Director of Food and Beverage

Beloved Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa, part of the Noble House Hotels and Resorts collection of luxury hotels and resorts, happily announces the appointment of Troy Batten, the current Executive Chef of the hotel’s award-winning Spur Restaurant & Bar and Spur Catering, as the new Area Director of Food and Beverage.

Batten began his career at Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa as lead cook 14 years ago. His strong work ethic and dedication quickly moved him up the ranks to Sous Chef, Chef De Cuisine, and finally to Executive Chef in 2019. Batten was instrumental in the success of Spur, helping with the rebrand of the restaurant, which continued gaining recognition with local residents and hotel guests alike and became the No. 1 restaurant in the area. In his new leadership role, Batten will oversee all aspects of service, planning, and quality for the food and beverage operations at Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa and their newly renovated on-site restaurant, Spur Restaurant & Bar. Baten will also lead Spur Catering, which services groups, meetings, and social events for both Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa and Hotel Terra Jackson Hole.

A native of Pocatello, Idaho, Batten attended Boise State University and later joined a mom-and-pop restaurant in the North end of Boise, Idaho, where he began his culinary career. After working at the extremely successful restaurant as manager and head cook, he left to pursue his dreams of living near big mountain snowboarding, and, thus, he relocated to Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 2001. Batten will continue to assist the culinary team during this transition.
