Spain: Boutique hotel group It Mallorca has revealed that its adult-only Hotel Valldemossa will open in February next year.
Once part of the Royal Charterhouse Palace, Hotel Valldemossa offers 12 rooms, an indoor and outdoor pool, the Sanctuary spa, and restaurant De Tokio a Lima – an outpost from Palma de Mallorca serving a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine with Mediterranean influences.
Rooms at the hotel include four deluxe terraces, seven junior suites, and one Valldemossa suite which features an indoor lounge and a jacuzzi on the terrace.
The Sanctuary will offer a programme inspired by traditional Chinese medicine and lymphatic drainage. Treatments will be overseen by Amor Garzon who pioneered the Piroche method which combines drainage, massage, and essential oil.
Other experiences and activities at the hotel include bike rental, guided routes, maps with personalised routes, a repair workshop and bike cleaning facilities.
Owner, Miguel Conde, said: “Hotel Valldemossa is the first of its kind within the It Mallorca portfolio. It is deep rooted in history, and has had new life breathed into it like with our other five properties, but the difference is the feeling. A sanctuary. An oasis of calm in the small village of Valldemossa. We look forward to welcoming our first guests in February and inviting them to experience the wonder of Hotel Valldemossa.”
Hotel Valldemossa joins five luxury boutique properties in the It Mallorca portfolio: Calatrava, Can Cera, Can Alomar and Sant Jaume in Palma and Can Aulí in Pollença. Conde and his architect wife Cristina Marti opened the first hotel Can Cera in 2011.
